Thread: caravan bully

    Default caravan bully

    hi
i have a static caravan on a lovely site and surroundings ,been there a couple of years,we settled in and we said this is the place for us for the next 15 years fantastic, also i thoughtthe next door neighbour who nobody warned us about is making our life a misery,he his nothing but a vindictive bully who we have since found out he has driven up to four caravan owners away by his aggression towards them, the company have had letters of complaints about him and he is on his final warning,
but he still keeps on harassing us,we now feel stressed out and all the fun has been taken out of our lives because he is still on the site we have no alternative but to sell up,but all we would get for our caravan is boot price the caravan is 2003 new model very good condition we would lose about 15,000 pounds, surely there must be some law and compensation when you are bullied of a site, after all we were not told about this mans attitude.it has been suggested to me he is of great value to the company because they are leaving for a pittance, then there van is sold on for a very high price, bit like in the old westerns when they forced ranch owners off there land they used to hire gunslingers to scare them off,
i would like to know if anyone has suffered a similar experience,? what do i do?!

    thanks

Stand up to bullies, they hate it cause deep down they are all cowards, failing that complain every time he does something to the site owners, see who gets fed up first

    Agree wholeheartedly with PGH

If you don't stand up to this obnoxious lout you'll just be contributing to the misery he'll put the next owner of your site to.

    Code:
he is of great value to the company because they are leaving for a pittance, then there van is sold on for a very high price, bit like in the old westerns when they forced ranch owners off there land they used to hire gunslingers to scar them off,
What's sauce for the goose comes to mind

could you move your caravan to another site, then you would not lose the value of your caravan, just resite it, get rid of all the hassle, and get peace of mind and a nice time, which is what you have bought the caravan for in the first place.

Not always that easy to do and that would be another notch on his tow-bar for the bully.

Bullying is bullying whether in the street, the playground or on your caravan site.

Is there a legal solution that might be applied here?

Anti-social behaviour order. Report all incidences to the police and/or local authority.
My advice is based on my opinion, my experience and my education. It is not to be taken as legal advice as I am not legally qualified; I therefore cannot profess to be an expert in any given field. Where I can If requested, I will provide a link to relevant legislation so that anything I say can be confirmed and I do encourage others to follow those links for their own peace of mind. Sometimes my advice is not what people necesserily want to hear, but I will advise on facts as I know them - although it may not be what a person wants to hear it helps to know where you stand.

That's only for owners of holidayautolinker.com autolinking image parks and sites, not for individual owners of caravans on such sites, isn't it?

still trying to help you, bhhpa if for park owners you could report your owners of the park to them for not doing anything, try nd find out who they are a member of and report them to it, phraa.co.uk park home residents action alliance,
the british holidayautolinker.com autolinking image and home parks association and the national park homes council.

bhhpa, after enquiring for you, anonomously for you of course, i had an e mail to pass on to whoever, and they said that they do a postal consiliation free of charge, to assist the parties reach an agreement, they need if you go on their website and send them an e mail as i did they want confirmation of the name and address of the party involved, and also if the site is registered with them, if you can find out their membership number, they will forward a consiliation form to you, e mail i got was from amanda franklin membership executive. hope this helps.
